IEEE is sponsoring a business card exchange Wednesday, April 17th at 5:30pm in the Campus Center Executive Dining Room. This is a casual event where you can sit down and talk to people from industry. This is a great chance to ask professional engineers about what they do, what they wish they knew in college and any other questions you've been wondering. If you have any questions or concerns, email us at ieee@hawaii.edu.

IEEE is very excited to announce the first ever IEEE Competition! It will test both your circuit and programming knowledge.

IEEE's first general meeting for the Spring 2013 semester is tomorrow, Wednesday 1/23. We invite you to come and join us-- we'll be giving out information about many exciting events we have planned for this semester, including company tours and technical workshops! We also have an IEEE sponsored competition planned for the next upcoming weeks.

Our club will on the ground floor of Holmes Hall on Monday,
Tuesday and Wednesday from 9AM-1PM. Stop by to get more information about our club and meet
some of our officers. We look forward to meeting you!
Our first meeting will be this Wednesday, August 29 at 5:00pm in POST 127. We will be
talking about what IEEE is, introduce the new officers, and let you know what we have
planned for the year. You will also get the chance to volunteer for some of our events,
order the new IEEE t-shirt, win a raffle prize, and get some delicious food. At the
end of the meeting we will be opening up our study room for you to visit and also
see the MicroMouse lab. So come and spend some time to get to know our club!
IEEE has a club room located in Holmes Hall 411. Take the elevator on the Ewa side of
Holmes Hall and go to the fourth floor. Turn left and the first door is our room.
This is a great space to study, meet other engineers, make new friends, get some
food, and lots of other awesome things. Just go ahead and come into the room and say hi!

IEEE will be hosting a horror themed movie night this Friday October 28 from 6pm in Holmes 389. Come and hang out and watch some movies! We will be watching Carrie, The Exorcist, and Friday the 13th UPDATE: The 3rd movie will be Poltergeist.

IEEE's Second General Meeting will be on November 2 in Holmes 389 at 5:30 pm.
IEEE Business Card Exchange:
This event will consist of a small presentation by some professionals. After that there will be dinner and time for you to talk with the professionals.
To remind you guys, the IEEE Basketball Wednesdays is this Wednesday, Wednesday (October 26, 2011) from 5 pm - 7 pm. We will provide the water, basketballs and cups. IEEE Basketball Wednesdays is a good way to connect with your fellow EEs outside of the school environment. If you're coming by car and would like to generously offer your fellow basketball-goers a ride to Kanewai, send Ken Galvez (rgalvez@hawaii.edu) an email.
Help is needed to be Judge/Referee or a Volunteer for First Lego League. The event is on October 29 in the Campus Center Ballroom. The training session for this event is tentatively scheduled for October 15. Please sign up ASAP if you are able to be a referee because they want a head count by Wednesday. Also, individuals will receive a point for volunteering and an additional point for attending the training session. These points count towards retaining the Holmes Hall cup. Click here to sign up.
We will be hosting a Business Card Exchange on November 3rd in the Executive Dining Room at Campus Center. The event is scheduled to start at 6 PM. IEEE Hawaii Section will be gathering professionals from different companies to talk to the students that attend. Space is limited so to RSVP please email me (Kale Nakata, kanakata@hawaii.edu). It will be on a first come first serve basis with preference towards national branch members. More information will be sent out when the event gets closer.
